As a Field Officer, you'll be part of a supportive team delivering surveillance, treatment and property-management activities across South East Queensland. Our teams cover a broad geographic area and operate from locations including Burleigh Heads, Berrinba, Wacol, Virginia, Laidley and Mutdapilly. Depending on operational needs and available vacancies, you may be based at one of these locations and work across the surrounding region. Your days will be varied and may include inspecting properties, applying bait treatments, speaking with members of the public and completing accurate field records.

The Program Coordinator High Risk Invasive Species is responsible for leading the design, strategic planning and implementation of Agriculture Victoria’s high risk invasive species program, including operational oversight to the delivery of high-risk invasive management, including marine biosecurity. You will manage a team of state-wide specialist staff who: deliver services that contribute to reducing the impacts of high-risk invasive species in Victoria. This will include oversight of projects and services which provide:
- passive and active surveillance for detection of high risk invasive species;
- technical expertise in the management of high-risk invasive incursions;
- community engagement.

The ACT Government are looking for someone with experience in biosecurity, or a related field, to join our Biosecurity team as a Biosecurity Officer, Team Leader. This is a hands on role where you will lead a small team, coordinate contractors, engage with stakeholders, and deliver new and emerging invasive species monitoring, control and preparedness programs across the ACT. No two days are the same.
If you have strong leadership and team coordination skills, a good knowledge of invasive plants, pests and biosecurity threats, experience with ArcGIS, Field Maps, Survey123 or similar systems, along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, this may be the role for you.
